Projects

Envent provides geothermal development consultancy in the Asia-Pacific region and is developing a portfolio of own projects in Indonesia and the Philippines.

Envent’s most advanced project is the 163 MW development on the island of Biliran. Constructions are scheduled to start in the area in 2011.

Biliran Island is located in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines, a few kilometers north of the island of Leyte. An island province, Biliran has a land area of 555km2 and a population of 140,000. It´s estimated that Biliran possesses in excess of 150 MW of geothermal energy.

The Biliran project is being executed through Envent’s associate company, Biliran Geothermal Incorporated (BG). BGI was specifically established to undertake upstream geothermal development activities on the island. The activities include the exploration of geothermal areas, well-field construction and the extraction of steam from the area. Envent´s co-shareholder in BGI is the Philippines' company Filtech Energy Drilling Corporation (Fedco).
